U-19 champions Baitadi felicitated

Region Number 6 Baitadi team pose for a group snap after receiving felicitation on Friday.  Garnish School of Hospitality Management (GSHM) on Friday felicitated U-19 National Cricket Tournament winning team Region Number 6 Baitadi in the capital. GSHM awarded the champion team Baitadi with the cash prize of Rs. 50,000 amid a program held on its premises at Dhapasi.  Meanwhile, Chief Guest and Constitution Assembly member Gagan Thapa feted Baitadi team players and officials and handed over prizes. Baitadi had lifted the trophy after defeating Region Number 2 Birgunj by four wickets at TU Cricket Ground on Thursday.

Baitadi successfully achieved a comparatively modest target of 101 in in 31.4 overs losing their six wickets. Baitadi started their run chase comfortably, riding on a 59 runs opening partnership between their openers Surendra Chand and Binod Tamang. Both scripted a foundation for the victory before Prem Tamang left the pitch after scoring 18 runs off 57 balls that included a boundary. Playing in the cash-rich league of cricket- Indian Premiere League (IPL) is a dream come true for any cricketer around the globe.
