Constitution or Paper of Disagreement ?

Since the Preliminary Draft of long-awaited Constitution was tabled in the Constituent Assembly on 7 July, it has invited unprecedented criticism. Draft Constitution has burnt down, torn apart, labelled as the tool for reinstating stereotypes in the country and regressive, demeaning the achievements of People's Movement-2, Armed Conflict and Madhesh Uprising in 2007. In its extreme criticism, some have gone too far calling it 'illegal' as it was brought against the 'Interim Order issued by Supreme Court'. 
Various provisions like citizenship issues and other issues are seen as the reversal of the achievement guaranteed by the Interim Constitution of 2007. Because of its discriminatory and regressive provisions, common people, civil society and media have been raising their voice against the flawed document.

All-round Nepal hammer Singapore, meet Malaysia in final

Nepal outclassed the defending champions Singapore in the semifinals of the ongoing ACC U-16 Elite Cup being held in Malaysia on Friday. Nepal registered a spectacular 101 runs win over Singapore at the Bayuemas Oval Ground and entered into the finals of the ACC U-16 Elite Cup for the second time in a row. Now, Nepal will take on the hosts Malaysia in the final of the at the Kinrara Oval Ground to seal their maiden title of the event. In another semifinal, the hosts Malaysia registered a 36 runs stunning win over Oman to fix their final berth against the first edition runner-up Nepal. Earlier, Nepal had outplayed Malaysia in the penultimate delivery in their last ‘B’ group match of the ongoing tournament. Nepal off the mark with thumping win over Kuwait

The strong contender of the title Nepal got off the mark with a convincing 78 run victory over Kuwait in the ACC U-16 Elite Cup at the Bayuemas Oval Ground in Kuala Lumpur on Friday. Nepal started their journey to the title riding on some excellent performance with bat and bowl from their players. It was Nepal’s second successive triumph over the familiar opponent Kuwait in the ACC U-16 Elite Cup history. Earlier, Nepal had hammered Kuwait by 101 runs in their first encounter in the first edition of the tournament held in Kathmandu in 2010, where Nepal had secured the runner-up place after losing to Singapore. Now, Nepal will vie against Bahrain on Sunday in its second match of the tournament to be played at the Kinrara Oval Ground.  Winning the toss, Nepal led by Dipendra Chand opted to bat first and posted a standard 179 runs losing all wickets playing 32.4 overs.
