Constitution or Paper of Disagreement ?

Since the Preliminary Draft of long-awaited Constitution was tabled in the Constituent Assembly on 7 July, it has invited unprecedented criticism. Draft Constitution has burnt down, torn apart, labelled as the tool for reinstating stereotypes in the country and regressive, demeaning the achievements of People's Movement-2, Armed Conflict and Madhesh Uprising in 2007. In its extreme criticism, some have gone too far calling it 'illegal' as it was brought against the 'Interim Order issued by Supreme Court'. 
Various provisions like citizenship issues and other issues are seen as the reversal of the achievement guaranteed by the Interim Constitution of 2007. Because of its discriminatory and regressive provisions, common people, civil society and media have been raising their voice against the flawed document.

A three-hour worth wait

It was one of those days which now and then every working journalists faces while reporting in the field. It didn't start well at all. While cultivating sources for the story, I came across some phone numbers. I started by calling to the office of Tamil Nadu Government Employees' Associations (TNGEA) which was never picked up for six times in a row. And, the seventh attempt didn't do much wonder either.
